Exploration has concentrated on the eastern portion of the EPC and the landholders NEC has made arrangements with in order to carry out the work necessary to delineate the target seams. A total of 18 landholders are identified within the entire eastern portion of EPC927 and EPC1169. The recent drilling activities have focused mainly on 3 landholders properties to minimise disturbance. To date NEC has been able to carry out its exploration activities with the cooperation of these landholders.

Cultural heritage surveys have also been conducted in consultation with the Kairi people around EPC 927 and the exploration sites specifically. Any culturally significant items identified have been relocated in accordance to the Aboriginal Parties requests.
NEC has entered into an agreement with the Native Title Applicants with regards to the cultural clearance and culturally significant sites to the south west of EPC 927 have been undisturbed by the recently completed exploration programme.
