Maryborough location

Maryborough EPC923 situated approximately 50km from the proposed coal port at Bundaberg.

Typical scrubland

Much of the southern end of the EPC is covered with native Wallum vegetation comprised of scrubby coastal heathland with a broken, low level discontinuous canopy dominated by banksia, eucalypt and angophora which appears to be in part, regeneration.

Abandoned Shaft

Abandoned mineshaft filled with tyres, many areas are littered with abandoned machinery parts and refuse.

Dust Gauge

Here you can see one of NECs dust gauges. Monitoring dust levels to avoid impacting on the local communities is an important factor as mining progresses at EPC923.
