Most of the tenement is on gentle undulating ground, with much of the land cleared for growing wheat crops and other arable crop farming. The Severn River passes nearby the mining lease. Fecund black soils are in between the rivers flood banks.

Occasional sandstone outcrops and patches of lightly wooded Brigalow scrub is sparsely scattered around the region.
